Can I enter the contest through the mail, or by emailing you a photograph?
No. We’re very sorry, but the only way to enter the photo contest is through the online process at oceanconservancy.org/photocontest. If you do not have any digital images of your photo you can use a scan of a printed photo (saved as a “jpeg”) to upload when entering the contest.
Ocean Conservancy does not have the staffing available to scan images and upload them to the website or enter email messages into the contest. It is something we would love to be able to offer, but it is just not possible. If you have a printed photograph and do not have a scanner or computer, we hope you will be able to find a friend or neighbor who can help you enter the contest.
Can I enter more than one photo in the contest?
Yes. You are free to enter as many photos as you would like. However, please keep in mind that you cannot combine votes from multiple entries/photos. Total vote count is associated with each photo–not each email address or account.
Which kinds of photos are eligible for the contest?
Photos containing imagery inconsistent with the programs and policies of Ocean Conservancy will be deemed ineligible. If your entry is deemed ineligible, it will be removed from the contest website and you will be notified by email. For more information, please visit our terms and conditions.
