The Procter & Gamble Company (P&G) is actively working on ending the ocean plastic crisis.
P&G has been a leader in environmental sustainability for decades and continues to make strong progress towards their goals for energy, transportation, waste and water. In 2015, they partnered with Ocean Conservancy through the Trash Free Seas Alliance® to increase their commitment to reducing the amount of plastic entering our coastlines and waterways. In addition to being an original investor in Circulate Capital (the investment management firm dedicated to incubating and financing companies and infrastructure to reduce ocean plastic pollution), CEO David Taylor is chairman of the Alliance to End Plastic Waste, a CEO-led effort that aims to raise 1.5 billion dollars to End Plastic Waste in our environment. With over 30 member companies to date, this cross-value chain effort will prioritize high-leakage areas, such as Southeast Asia, and will invest in infrastructure, innovation, education and clean up.
