- Cryptocurrency donations are processed by The Giving Block on behalf of Ocean Conservancy. By making a donation, you agree to The Giving Block’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, and to Ocean Conservancy’s Privacy Policy.
- Please only send the exact cryptocurrency listed on the specified blockchain shown on the donation form. Sending unsupported cryptocurrencies (including layer 2 tokens, wrapped tokens, NFTs or other unlisted ERC-20 tokens) may result in loss of donation.
- All cryptocurrency donations made via The Giving Block are irreversible and nonrefundable. Blockchain transactions cannot be reversed once confirmed, and refunds cannot be issued for any reason, including if the wrong cryptocurrency or amount was sent.
- Cryptocurrency donations are typically converted to U.S. dollars upon receipt.
- Cryptocurrency donations are treated as non-cash charitable contributions. Ocean Conservancy will provide a written donation acknowledgment describing the donated property but will not assign a cash value. Donors are solely responsible for determining the tax deductibility of their contributions and should consult a qualified tax advisor.
