2023-105 Membership Marketing Coordinator

POSITION SUMMARY

The Membership Marketing Coordinator is responsible for managing Membership marketing schedules, organizing member documents, project managing the Splash newsletter, and Raiser’s Edge duties including querying, importing and data entry.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Creates and adheres to yearly direct marketing schedules, keeping Membership team on track and coordinates with multiple direct marketing consultants.
  • In coordination with the Membership Director, creates Splash timelines and manages content and scheduling of the quarterly newsletter.
  • Submits all invoices in coordination with the Membership Marketing Manager.
  • Organizes, files and creates easy access to documents including strategy memos, agendas, documentation on processes and campaigns. Creates and upkeeps yearly filing system.
  • Aids Membership Marketing Specialist in invoice entry and tracking.
  • Aids Membership Services Coordinator and Manager with mailings.
  • Aids Membership Services Coordinator and Manager with Holding Fund coding adjustments.
  • Manages the Matching Gift and Employee Giving inquiries and processing.
  • Responds to in memory of/in honor of gift inquiries.
  • Monitors NCOA files to ensure organizational integrity.
  • Provides assistance to the larger Development Department by performing acknowledgements
  • Reviews and provides approvals to list rental broker requests.
  • Imports RE files.
  • Serves as primary scheduling contact for direct marketing agency and other consultants.
  • Contributes to strategy and benchmarking discussions and meetings, keeping well-informed of the latest industry trends and historical performance.

REQUIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

  • Proven accuracy with extreme attention to detail; demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong multi-tasking abilities; able to work independently with self-accountability.
  • Experience making process improvements with the support of a team.
  • Experience with relational databases; Raiser’s Edge experience highly desirable.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with nonprofit organizations, particularly in the fundraising arena, preferred.
  • Commitment to the highest level of internal and external customer service.

EDUCATION/TRAINING

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred and/or one year of successful related experience and/or training

COMPENSATION

Ocean Conservancy is committed to equity in its pay practices and posts expected hiring ranges for each of its positions. Salary minimum is $48,925; salary midpoint is $69,422. Compensation will be commensurate with the candidate’s specialty skills, years of experience, location, and unique background.  We would welcome the opportunity to connect with potential candidates whose salary requirements may be outside of the expected hiring range.
