A healthy ocean is vital to Florida’s culture, economy and livelihoods. Part of caring for Florida’s oceans and fisheries is caring for its coral reefs. And healthy coral reefs care for coastal communities in return by protecting property from storm waves, supporting bountiful fisheries and building inviting beaches. But ocean acidification endangers those caring relationships by slowing coral growth and reproduction.
