Cindy Nguyen was a former Roger Arliner Young (RAY) Marine Conservation Diversity Fellow at Ocean Conservancy, focused on storytelling and corporate partnership communications. Cindy is from Houston, Texas, and she studied Studio Art and Psychology at Rice University. She is an aspiring artist and environmental justice advocate and uses art as a tool for understanding the world, community building, and healing. Her passion for the environment began with an impulse to draw her favorite animals and hot summer days on Galveston beach (where she calls home).
