Larry Wagenberg is a partner in Great Road Holdings and a co-founder of Silvertech Ventures. He invests in private technology companies.

Previously, he was a general partner of Wheatley Partners, a New York based venture firm, and he began his career with the law firm Stroock & Stroock & Lavan LLP, where he practiced corporate law with an emphasis on private and public securities transactions. Larry lives in Brooklyn, New York, with his wife, Natalie and their two sons. They spend time in Montauk, New York. He is a surfer, SCUBA diver and skier.

Personal Connection to the Ocean

• My father swam his way through school, watched the TV show Sea Hunt from his Queens apartment and later became a certified as a SCUBA diver when in the Air Force. I spent a lot of time around the ocean as a kid, waiting impatiently for my dad to come back from his dives so I could hear about the details of his adventure. I was certified in SCUBA at thirteen. I picked up surfing afterward and it has become the healthiest of addictions. I’m mostly a weekend warrior, but I paddle out pretty consistently year-round, mostly in Montauk and sometimes closer to NYC or warmer and more consistent spots further away. Now, I’m regularly educated on obscure sea creatures by my boys and enjoying that.
