Ocean Conservancy is proud to be a part of Florida’s 9th Annual St. Petersburg Science Festival on October 19th. As an organization that seeks science-based solutions for a changing ocean, we see the festival as a great way to connect with a community of ocean lovers, especially in Florida.
Florida is an iconic natural environment that is surrounded by and dependent on clean water. Florida’s coasts serve as treasured sanctuaries and economic engines—places to enjoy, earn a living and build a life. Ocean Conservancy is working hard in the Sunshine State to build a better future for Florida’s ocean and coasts. And we work throughout the Gulf of Mexico to support sustainable fishing on the region’s iconic and valuable fisheries.
Our work at Ocean Conservancy is focused on solving some of the greatest threats facing our ocean today. We bring people, science and policy together to champion innovative solutions to fight for the ocean we all love.
Our ocean means something different to everyone—from a food resource to an invigorating environment. We’ll be asking St. Pete’s Science Fest attendees—What does the ocean mean to you?
Come back to visit us on Saturday, October 19th at 5 p.m. (EST) to see what our ocean community has to say.
