Betsy Miller Kittredge
Betsy Miller Kittredge is Ocean Conservancy’s Vice President of People and Culture.
She has more than 15 years of executive HR and people leadership experience, spanning
the nonprofit, technology and advocacy sectors, and a proven track record of building
workplaces where people thrive and organizations do their best work. Prior to joining
Ocean Conservancy, Betsy was at Alliance for Justice, where she served as Vice President
of HR and Operations as well as Chief of Staff. Before that, she was Senior Vice President
of HR and Operations at EveryAction (now Bonterra), a company that helps thousands of
nonprofits with fundraising, advocacy, volunteer management and more.
Throughout her career, Betsy has consistently operated at the intersection of people,
strategy and mission. She brings a thoughtful, results-driven approach to leadership,
grounded in both operational excellence and a deep commitment to people.
Betsy holds an M.B.A. from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of
Maryland and a bachelor’s degree from Syracuse University in Magazine Journalism and
Political Science. She is also a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).
Betsy lives in the Washington, D.C. area with her husband, two teenage sons, five cats and
a dog.
