MEDIA AVAILABILITY: Ocean Conservancy Experts Attend UN Ocean Conference

Ocean Conservancy will make new marine debris and shipping commitments to scale up action and innovation to implement UN Sustainable Development Goal 14 for a sustainable ocean for all.

Lisbon, Portugal: From June 26 – July 1, 2023, Ocean Conservancy will attend the United Nations Ocean Conference to build momentum to achieve the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals and advance solutions to help our ocean’s most pressing crises.

Ocean Conservancy and our experts will be hosting or participating in the Conference’s formal agenda as well as associated side events to prevent plastic, including ghost gear, from entering our ocean, eliminate marine debris, advance ocean-based climate action ahead of COP27, build sustainable plans for our ocean’s resources, and help develop the blue economy.

Ocean Conservancy will also announce new marine debris and shipping commitments during the conference.
