Patricia Chambers

Arctic Digital Manager

Patricia (Patty) Chambers is the Arctic Digital Manager for Ocean Conservancy’s Arctic program and provides visual communications, new media, photography and design. 

Born and raised on the shores of the Salish Sea, Patty has nurtured a life-long love and respect for the ocean as a conservation science communicator, sailor, outdoor photographer and former research diver. She has specialized in Arctic-related issues since 2010 beginning with The Pew Charitable Trusts’ Arctic program and has worked on marine conservation issues since 2000 as the Communications Manager for the San Francisco Estuary Institute; a Communications Specialist for Washington State’s Shared Strategy to help protect and restore salmon runs across the Salish Sea; and as a consultant with Skagit Land Trust and the Swinomish Indian Tribal Community helping to craft visual stories and outreach materials that educate and advocate for the protection and appreciation of the natural world. 

Patty lives with her husband Mark and their barn-raised cat Kiki Rodríguez in Bellingham, Washington and plays Irish folk music with Lindsay Street performing in Bellingham and the Pacific NW.
