The new report from Ocean Conservancy and Energy and Environmental Research Associates, Reducing Greenhouse Gases in the Maritime Sector: Approaches to Decarbonizing the U.S. Fleet, explores the challenges and opportunities for decarbonizing the U.S. flagged fleet and a segment of the federal fleet and provides a comprehensive analysis of technical and policy approaches to achieve emissions reductions. By investing in infrastructure supporting zero-carbon fueling and electrification, the United States has the potential to be a leader in shipping decarbonization, setting an example for other countries to follow suit.
