Janay is a Communications Specialist at Ocean Conservancy. Originally from Connecticut, Janay spent her early summers at SoundWaters Explorers Summer Camp where she learned all about the Long Island Sound. She has a firm belief that every person, place, and entity has a story to tell, and it’s her job to help share it. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism from The Pennsylvania State University. Prior to joining Ocean Conservancy, she spent time at WETM-TV (NBC) and WDVM-TV in Washington D.C., where she gained valuable experience as a broadcast journalist and producer. When she’s not working, you can find her taking delightful strolls, cuddling with adorable foster pups, and creating beautiful bouquets of flowers!
