Jeff Slyfield is the Government Relations Manager at Ocean Conservancy, focusing on a wide variety of federal policy from fisheries to ocean acidification. His passion for the ocean stems from countless summer days spent on Long Beach Island, a barrier island along the coast of New Jersey. His connection to the ocean inspired him to study marine policy at American University, where he graduated with a BA in Environmental Studies. When not hard at work researching legislation, Jeff enjoys anything outdoors: hiking, kayaking, swimming in the ocean or just reading in the sun.
