Alliyah Lusuegro is a former RAY Conservation Diversity Fellow with Ocean Conservancy’s Fish Conservation Program working on storytelling and policy. She graduated from Swarthmore College with a B.A. in Environmental Studies and a double minor in Biology and Gender & Sexuality Studies. Alliyah has lived most of her life in Chicago, IL, but has roots in the Philippines, where she first formed a deep attachment to the ocean. To rest, recharge and indulge, she loves reading three books at once, running in city parks and making plant-based foods.
