Dan Portnof is a Programs Assistant for Ocean Conservancy’s Fish Conservation and Florida Conservation programs. He holds dual undergraduate degrees from Boston University in Philosophy and Economics, and worked in management consulting before pursuing his passion for conservation and policy. He spent his childhood in coastal New England, often on boats, cultivating a deep love for the ocean and its many diverse inhabitants. When he is not reading about fish and fishing, he enjoys writing creatively and spending as much time as possible outdoors.
