Emily Okikawa is a former RAY Marine Conservation Fellow focused on community-based storytelling at Ocean Conservancy, based in Washington D.C. She grew up surrounded by the natural beauty of Hawaii, and recently graduated from Franklin & Marshall College. As an avid traveler, and permanent fixture in D.C. coffee shops, she loves to spend her time reading and writing, and being inspired by everyone she meets. She is excited to be part of a new movement in environmentalism that recognizes the strength of diversity and commits itself to uplifting the voices of underrepresented communities.
